Feel the Might of Mobile with Office 365 Updates

Whether you frequently travel for work, or you use your morning train ride as a jumpstart to the work day, you understand the need for reliable and easy-to-use mobile applications.

As we’ve mentioned before, Microsoft’s recent focus has been on improving productivity and collaboration among its users. Clearly, the new February updates to Office 365 also follow this theme.

With impressive fresh features added to the mobile Office apps, professionals can get work done from anywhere, without having to sacrifice the quality of their work.

Here are some of the notable changes coming to your phone or tablet Office 365 suite:

Digital Annotation

Are you one of those people who loves to jot down notes on page? In fact, do you print out documents for the sole purpose of freely annotating and drawing on them?

Well, you’re in luck. The new updates allow Windows mobile users (specifically Office Insiders) to scribble or write on any Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document using their finger or stylus.

So when inspiration hits, you won’t need to hesitate to add your thoughts to a page.

Start Menu Pinning

Sometimes we have so many versions of documents that we end up spending way too much time just searching for the right one.

Thankfully, you can now pin important documents to your Office start menu for easy access.

Limit your risk of carpal tunnel by eliminating the thumb scroll.

Integrating Camera Images

Almost all phones have cameras these days, and those cameras allow us to snap pics wherever and whenever. But actually using those images is not always as simple as capturing them. Until now.

Office 365 mobile applications now let you snap a pic, crop it, and insert it directly into a PowerPoint presentation. This capability will also be added to Word and Excel soon.

Evidently, Microsoft is making strides toward a more connected workplace and the new mobile features are certainly a step in the right direction.
