Fill in your Cloud Teams’ Skills Gaps with Cloud Technology Training

For enterprise cloud teams to be skilled in cloud computing is not an option anymore, rather it is a requirement. The cloud adoption trend is not just a trend, but a movement, that hopes to have each and every enterprise in the world operating in the cloud within a short time. This global mission dictates that companies implement cloud computing within their local environments as soon as possible, to reap all the benefits that cloud computing brings to the table.

The reason behind the movement is the desire for rapid digital transformation, which is leading enterprises to implement greater cloud engagement as well as adoption on a global scale. And, according to a survey by LogicMonitor, 63% of enterprises surveyed have stated that companies that are going through digital transformation are heading the change when it comes to cloud adoption. Nevertheless, and despite the prevalence of cloud computing in this day and age, requirement for greater and better developed cloud skills is at an all-time high.

For cloud technology teams, the number of skills required to optimally function well in the cloud increase with each new introduction of cloud tech features. To that end, following are some of the primary skills needed by a cloud Technology team to not only conclude all the cloud implementation and operation related tasks, but also enable the Enterprise to scale better and reach their goals.

AI and Machine Learning Skills

Artificial intelligence is the technology that has been embedded in almost every major enterprise infrastructure to some extent. Well some uses of artificial intelligence are very common, such as those in search engines, using artificial intelligence within a cloud environment leads to much smarter functioning as well as extreme efficiency.

Artificial Intelligence and machine learning used to be password for even the most major Enterprise in the past.  this is not so in this day and age when functioning without machine learning and artificial intelligence is considered to rudimentary for any amount of organizational success. Two of the biggest cloud platforms in the world; namely Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, both feature Artificial Intelligence and machine learning within the internal capabilities. For a company running either one or both of these platforms simultaneously, it is important to equip their teams with necessary knowledge and functional learning regarding artificial intelligence.

Multi-Cloud Deployment and Cloud Migration

Operating in a single cloud environment is not as financially and functionally efficient as having a multi cloud environment in which various operations can be performed utilizing different features and capabilities. On the wider front, if an enterprise wants to choose which cloud to use for which purpose with the intention of saving cost and time, they can do so much more easily in a multi-cloud environment. Such an environment features cloud services provided by more than one vendor, which offers the enterprise the option to pay less for a certain feature if the second or third cloud vendor offers it for much less.

On the other hand, migrating to the cloud, from many years of using a traditional physical infrastructure, is quite complicated for an enterprise that has never functioned in the cloud before. This is partially because of the aforementioned multi-cloud environment which the enterprise maybe thinking of deploying from the get-go. To undertake such a task the cloud technology teams, need to have the requisite skills and cloud knowledge which can only be delivered through cloud Technology training.

Systems Automation

Traditional infrastructure is taken out of the equation the need for singular operations performed by operations teams is no longer there. This is where automation comes in. By automating a certain system or even the entire supply chain, the company can divert the efforts which would otherwise be served on the aforementioned supply chain; on to more important tasks such as scaling the architecture and increasing productivity, even instilling continuous deployment. In fact, continuous deployment is one concept that is made all the more possible by the advent of systems automation.

Cloud service providers offer some manner of automation already and if an enterprise wants to automate more than what cloud vendors provide for, they can always resort to third party services which can potentially integrate with even the most complicated cloud platform.

Training Teams to Gain Cloud Skills

If an enterprise already as competent Technology teams, they may not require immediate training at the moment. However, with the rate of technological innovation at an all-time high, it is not wise to not train the technology teams on cloud concepts. With the right cloud training and certification, your technology team will be able to tackle all the cloud challenges of the future and meet organizational goals every time
